Hien is quiet. He meant that he looks like the copy paste of anyone out there. Blank face and short black hair is a staple. He's not even as tall as he wants to be. He thinks there's nothing unique about his appearance.
Despite that, Haiga says what he says and it almost makes Hien feel special.

and once they’re in enough to swing it shut and enclose themselves in the comfort of their space - his and hien’s - he brings their hands (his and hien’s - haiga finally understands how his clingy ex feels and sends her a mental apology) to his chest so hien can feel how loud his heart is. he’s not embarrassed. he’s excited. ]
This is not out of the blue. I’m asking - can I?
[ is he patient enough to wait? he should be, but he’s not. maybe this is because he likes hien too much and this is something he should work on - but after he leans down to kiss his boyfriend (!!), sealing their lips together properly this time. ]
[ Hien can certainly feel how much Haiga's heart is beating and he's about to respond to his question, but his answer is cut off by a kiss. Oh.

Hien briefly returns the kiss and parts their lips, but a little on guard since Haiga seems to be very excited. It's not out of self-defense, but a possibility of there being an abrupt second kiss. ]
[ even as he says that - and means it in the way he earnestly means all his apologies - the intense way he stares at hien lacks any hint of regret. it’s really hard to regret kissing the guy you like, after all.
there are elements to this that he’s trying hard not to fixate on (kissing in their room) (kissing) (in their room!!) (whoa that’s kind of intense actually and a little…) (kissing) … too much… ]
[ though his surprised yelp comes out slightly muffled. he’s not gonna stop hien, but he doesn’t know where to put his hands, so they settle loosely somewhere on hien’s forearms. ]
Technically I did wait months before I kissed you the first time. And now it’s because - I like you a lot and I’m just happy being near you. You make me really… really happy…

I'm used to being ignored or looked over, so others treating me differently won't affect me at all. I probably don't even know their names... so why I should I care about what they think?
