[ With that, he quickly falls asleep. If sleeping was an Olympic sport, Hien could be a serious contestant with how deeply he sleeps within a minute.

The nap ends up being 5 hours until it's dinner time. This guy could be a cat with a human body with how much he sleeps and eats in a day. ]

while hien sleeps, haiga makes an attempt at studying. what he actually does instead is think about hien, sneak glances at hien, and reread the same paragraphs a dozen times when he makes any headway at all before getting caught up in his own head again. truly his brain is only good at focusing on one thing.

it takes him until the last hour before dinner to settle into his reading. his phone lights up with a silent reminder: cafeteria closes in two hours. which gives him just enough time to wake hien. he does so with the required ritual offering: coffee and hien’s name called several times in a row. ]

Hien. Hieeen. Dinner time.

[ The coffee's effectiveness seems to differ, but statistics say that he needs at least five cups to really get the day started. One? He can chug along until he starts rolling.

He stirs when he hears Haiga's voice, slowly blinking and yawning. ]

[ but that’s probably asking too much of a hien that’s just awoken. ugh ok… he leans down for the hug because he still wants it bad. he wonders how his bigger body feels to hien - if he’s comfortable, if haiga feels good to hold. because hien certainly does, even at this awkward angle. overly warm and malleable. sleep-soft and… ]

You smell good. [ like comfort, like a nap that’s been baked in dreams. his nose brushes the fine hair curled under hien’s ear. ] This angle’s pretty dangerous though.

[ Haiga feels like a big, firm teddy bear. He's warm and there's something comforting about hugging him like this. For a moment, it felt that Hien was about to drift off into dreamland again. Dangerous. ]

... Huh? Why is it dangerous? Are you gonna slip?

[ He nuzzles against Haiga's face when he feels the nose touch and with their hug, Hien shifts Haiga more onto him so that he doesn't "slip"! Wow. How thoughtful. ]

[ damnit he likes it so much though. haiga allows himself one big teddy bear squeeze before he hauls hien up like a ragdoll, so they can hug in a more 'just bros, slightly homo' fashion. ]

[ Hien has never thought about being desired like that, so the admittance is surreal to him that it's still taking its time to sink in as he's being hauled up like a ragdoll. Longcat, nya. Hien reflexively wraps his arms around Haiga to give him a hug, nuzzling his head against his neck. He upgrades the hug to 'totally homo' level right away. ]

I don't wanna deal with carnal stuff after waking up...

[ yeah but he feels wronged anyway. before he can say anything, hien surprises him with the yawn - so close! too close! - and he stiffens as a shivery pleasure travels up his spine. ]

[ his heart is beating so loud in his ears and he squeezes hien tight in brief retaliation. ]

[ stop comboing him with gay feelings. he detangles himself from hien with equal parts reluctance and relief. ]

[ Hien genuinely has no idea why Haiga freaked out with the yawn. He doesn't know how dangerous that could be. It's just a yawn... it's fine. He can live without knowing. ]

Mmkay... lemme chug this coffee and we can go.

[ After becoming free from the hug, Hien maneuvers himself out of bed to drink his usual coffee at the usual place where Haiga puts the mug at the ready. This is the routine. This is the life. No matter the temperature of the drink, he drinks it all without hesitation. ]

I'm ready.

[ He still has immense messy bedhead, but it's not too different compared to his usual hairstyle anyway. ]

[ haiga could have lived without knowing, too. his world could have been sweet kisses and comfy hugs and maybe spicy handholding. but now… now he knows the feel of hien’s hot breath against his skin and he feels just a little bullied.

it’s weird because he didn’t really see hien in a sexual light until now. sure, he wanted to touch him but that was a desire for closeness. chaste contact, really.
